Red Hot Chili Peppers play Vector Arena in Auckland
Projection and Cameras supplied by Mirage

The first serious international act to hit the newly opened Vector Arena, RHCP grooved sell-out audiences over two shows.

Their video set comprised of a 35m x 6m 'soft' LED curtain (toured with the band), topped by four 12' projection screens, hit by high-powered projectors.  With more than 40,000 Ansi Lumens of brightness hitting the screens, the crowd had close up live shots of each band member

Mirage's projection system designer and operator Paul Carppe led a crew of nine, as cameras tracked each of the four band members.  The feeds were matrix switched with the ability to swap images between screens and provide an additional feed to the soft LED curtain between graphic content.

CINZ - Conferences and Incentives New Zealand

Mirage has recently become a member of CINZ, New Zealand's official conference marketing association.

Our association with CINZ will mean we are better prepared to offer services to overseas conference organisers, as well as attending Meetings, NZ's largest industry trade show.

CINZ exists to assist in promoting the conference and event industry within New Zealand to overseas buyers, as well as providing support to the local market.

They offer services such as CAP (the Conference Assistance Programme) to aid PCOs with the bidding process, and E@syfinder - a web-based tool used to send a tender offer to service-providers, and of course they publish a full-colour planner which is available on request.

For more information, check out the CINZ website.  www.conventionsnz.co.nz

Mirage go Digital with the new DiGiCo D1 Live! console

Audio partner company SPL bought digital technology to the table on our recent Amway event at the Auckland town hall.

In addition to all the standard features you'd expect of a mixing console of this size, the D1 has most effects processing on-board, eliminating the need for bulky EQ, Compression, Reverb and Delay racks.

This saves on setup time, saves space and gives the operator all the effects at their fingertips.
