Billy Joel

It was Billy Joel's first appearance in New Zealand in ten years, playing a sold-out show so packed that screens and projectors were required to ensure every seat had a clear view of the Piano Man himself.

Mirage's 20ft screens and Barco FLMR20+ projectors provided live camera images from a 3 Camera PPU, including a pencil camera locked on the piano, providing close ups of the magic fingers in action.

Shane Watson, Mirage's senior video engineer directed the show, literally, as they say 'calling the shots'.

With audiences to Vector frequently selling out to full capacity, live camera to screen has become an essential part of the touring show format for this ever-popular venue.
